CAUTION: do not allow for direct contact between your animal and the heating pad. E.g. A hamster enclosure should have the heating pad attached to underside of the one side of the enclosure.

CAUTION: Your animal should always be able to move away from the heating pad. In reptile and hamster enclosure always ensure a temperature gradient.
